Not everyone can buy all different types of shoes, but whatever shoes you have In your closet, the best thing is to know how to keep them clean and to use the right products on these types of shoes so that we can prolong their lives. Let’s say you have many shoes made of leather. It is from animal skin that leather shoes are made from. The animals hide is tailored to form many different types of finishes; it could either be vegetable dyed or tanned leather; the two most common ones. If you are using tanned leather, this type of materials finish uses many different chemicals and coloring for the desired finish and the best type of cleaner for this type of leather is a cream cleaner which removes dirt while restoring the natural shine of the oil. If you don’t want your tanned leather shoes to be permanently stained, then don’t use foam cleaners or liquid cleaners for it. IT is not enough just to wipe off your leather shoes with a dry cloth when it becomes dirty, but it is very important to use the right kind of cleaner.
Canvas is the opposite, because instead of working with dirt right after its use, you need to wait until it dries first before trying to clean them. It is the same with suede which must be dried first before cleaning. Suede can easily get scrape or graze marks and if you don’t handle it properly, you can damage your shoes.
